Gareth is a Partner in the Sheffield Corporate team. He qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and has specialised in corporate work since that time. He has extensive knowledge of the full range of private company transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and recovery work, investments and governance advice.

  • UK Coal on various restructurings and refinancings, culminating in the successful managed closure of deep mining operations in the UK with all environmental and employee obligations discharged, and winning "Restructuring Team of the Year" at the British Legal Awards.
  • RATP (the international transport group) on a number of its investments in the UK, including the acquisitions of London United Buses, Manchester Metrolink and the Original London Sightseeing Tour.
