Jamie Burgess is a Partner in the CMS London Corporate Group. 

Jamie specialises in Private Equity and has extensive experience and knowledge within the space, acting for Private Equity sponsors, founders and management teams throughout all stages of an investment life cycle. He also advises on a broad range of corporate transactions, including domestic, cross-border and global mergers and acquisitions.

  • Synova on its investment into (i) the National Education Group, a leading provider of online CPD training, and its subsequent acquisition of the highly respected online information service, The School Bus, also known as Hub4Leaders and (ii) Learnlight, an educational technology company specialising in language and communication skills. 
  • Queen’s Park Equity on its investments into (i) Encore, a specialist property management solutions provider, and its subsequent bolt on acquisitions; (ii) Blue Ribbon, a provider of adult residential care and supported living services; and (iii) Republic M!, a provider of outsourced commercialisation services to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • CBPE Capital on its investment into (i) the newly formed group of The Key, a leading provider of education sector intelligence and information to schools and multi-academy trusts across the UK, and Arbor Education, the fastest-growing MIS platform in the UK and (ii) Banner, a leading supplier of school wear in the UK.
  • Three Hills Capital Partners on its investment in (i) Sigma Retail Solutions, a leading provider of outsourced, goods not for resale, solutions to blue chip retailers across the UK, Europe and Australia and (ii) Recycling Lives, a provider of recycling and waste management which it uses to support and sustain charity programmes for offender rehabilitation, residential support and food redistribution. 
  • Management of Mobius Networks, Hyperoptic, Gail’s Bakery, Iris Software Group and Punch Taverns on the investment into their companies by a Private Equity sponsor.
