Szabina is an associate of the banking and finance team of CMS Budapest. She graduated from Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary in 2007.

Areas of expertise include: finance transaction (aviation, corporate, film and real estate finance), restructuring & insolvency and regulatory advice regarding financial services.

She is an active member of the Regulatory Committee of AmCham in Budapest.

Szabina had a secondment with UniCredit Bank AG, London Branch Loan Syndicate CEEMEA from February 2018 to August 2018 and has been with the CMS Real Estate Finance team in London since September 2018.

  • Advising banks and borrowers on large-scale real estate financing projects;
  • Acting on transactions for airlines and financiers using pre-delivery debt finance and sale and leasebacks;
  • Financing for films and television projects shot in Hungary, e.g. The Borgias;

Relevant Experience in regulatory matters:

  • Advising Hungarian banks regarding the implementation of CRD and PSD and in connection with CRR;

Relevant Experience in restructuring and insolvency matters:

  • Corporate and financial restructuring of the BorsodChem Group;
  • Legal advice and representation of a Hungarian creditor in a debt settlement procedure with regard to a Hungarian municipality;
  • Legal advice and representation of the major European automobile manufacturers in liquidation proceedings of their Hungarian supplier as well as in relation to an asset transfer;
  • Legal advice regarding the restructuring of the financing of CEE investments of a real estate.
