Perspectives on Construction

16 April 2019

We recognise the mounting pressures facing UK construction as the industry continues to battle with low margins and cash flow issues on projects. However we also see a sector which, confronted with challenges, remains innovative, resilient and confident about its future.

Expanding on our recent thought leadership report – ‘UK Construction 2019 – What’s next’, we have filmed a series of short videos with key stakeholders across the industry to hear their views on the way forward for the industry.

In our first five-part series, we speak with Bruce Dickson, Regional Director at BAM Construction and Shona Frame, Construction partner at CMS to explore some of the pertinent issues keeping the industry awake at night:

  • Managing the payment model in large-scale construction
  • Shifting the dispute resolution focus
  • The impact of government initiatives
  • How to create a sustainable construction sector
  • What is the way forward for the industry
