CMS forms association in Hong Kong to boost Corporate and local law offering

CMS Hong Kong is pleased to announce that it has entered into an association with newly formed law firm Shirley Lau & Co. LLP. Shirley Lau & Co. LLP includes members of CMS Hong Kong's existing team and ex-Troutman Sanders partner Shirley Lau and an associate team from Troutman Sanders.

The association will provide CMS with the ability to offer local law advice to its growing client base and service clients on all multi-jurisdictional matters with both an international and Hong Kong law element. Office Managing Director Tim Elliott, comments: “This is an exciting development for the firm, enabling us to offer Hong Kong law capabilities to clients and build on our rapidly expanding offering in Hong Kong. We are pleased to be able to now support clients with a full service corporate offering from a highly experienced and well respected team”.

With over 25 years of experience, Shirley Lau is a commercial and corporate finance specialist with expertise across M&A, corporate restructuring, public offerings (both local and H-share), and the full range of regulatory compliance including matters concerning The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (Main Board and the Growth Enterprise Market) and the Code on Takeovers and Mergers. Shirley has participated in over 30 initial public offerings over her career, advising both issuers and underwriters.
