Helen Tang is an Of Counsel in the Insurance & Reinsurance Practice Area Group. Helen specialises in maritime law and international trade focusing on disputes arising out of bills of lading, charterparties, letters of credit, international trading contracts and ship management contracts. She regularly advises insurers, P&I Clubs, recovery agents, international freight forwarders, trading companies and ship managers on these matters.Helen has extensive experience in obtaining security for clients in particular in respect of vessel arrests in both Hong Kong and other jurisdictions. Helen also handles general commercial disputes from drafting contracts to obtaining injunctions.

Helen was qualified in Hong Kong in 2011. In addition to representing clients in Hong Kong, she works regularly with local counsel representing clients in jurisdictions such as mainland China, Singapore, Australia, UK, South Africa and India. Helen is fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
