CMS Budapest proudly invites you and your colleagues to a round table discussion. Our experts will provide a comprehensive overview on the current status of the European M&A market based on data from the first half of 2019 as well as future market expectations according to 230 interviews with professional and financial investors. During the round table discussion we will be reviewing our latest analysis, "CMS European M&A Outlook 2019" published in cooperation with Mergermarket, which reports, among others, that transactional activity in Europe has significantly declined in terms of transaction value and number of transactions compared to 2018.
Key questions will include:
- Weakening M&A appetite. Only 27% of respondents to this year’s survey expect the level of M&A activity in Europe to increase over the next 12 months.
- Financing conditions to tighten. 72% of respondents expect financing conditions to become more difficult in the coming year, despite low current interest rates and readily available financing.
- Distressed M&A and restructuring to rise. 94%-95% of respondents said they expected distressed M&A and restructurings to increase in number.
The presentation will be held in Hungarian. This event will be free of charge, however places are limited and registration is on a first come first served basis.
