Hungary

CMS’s Budapest office is located in the city centre. Having been present in Hungary since 1989, our award-winning team of around 85 lawyers advise national and international organisations on the full range of commercial law issues.

You can access unparalleled and specialist local knowledge combined with an international outlook and track record. The CMS Budapest office is a one-stop-shop for the largest and most complex transactions in Hungary and in the region. We can help you whether you’re consolidating or expanding, acquiring or restructuring, reinforcing your defences or seeking new opportunities. If you are involved in disputes — either locally or internationally — we have a network of top-tier risk and dispute experts who can help you resolve them pragmatically and effectively. We can help you negotiate, or renegotiate, financing and raise new equity capital. From intellectual property to taxation, from competition law to contracts, we can give you all the support you would expect from a full-service international law firm.

Many of our lawyers have worked in-house and are familiar with the day-to-day challenges in-house legal departments face.

Speaking Hungarian, English, French, German, Italian and Mandarin, you can be assured of doing business in the language with which you feel most comfortable.

If you do business in Hungary, please contact us via our online contact form or give us a call.
