The aim of the EU’s Public Procurement Directive is to introduce electronic communications at all stages of public procurement procedures between contracting authorities and tenderers. The 30-month transition period given by the Directive is almost over, and all Member States are required to comply with e-public procurement obligations by 18 October 2018.
