COVID-19 travel restrictions for non-EU citizens in Turkey

1. Requirements for entry

Turkiye has not yet published or announced an official regulation on vaccination requirements for entering Turkiye. The Communique on the Measures Related to Entrance to Turkiye published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which is effective as of 1 July 2021, has implemented the following entrance requirements:

  • A compulsory quarantine for people arriving in Turkiye from Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
  • A negative PCR test taken no less than 72 hours prior to arrival will be required from people who arrive to Turkiye from the UK, Iran, Egypt and Singapore.
  • People who arrive in Turkiye from countries other than the countries listed above will not be required to present a negative PCR or a rapid antigen test if they provide an official documentation proving that they have been vaccinated at least fourteen 14 days prior to the arrival.

A decision based on vaccination passports has not been made yet.
