16 Oct 2013 (UPDATED: 13 Mar 2026) International 1 min read

The ICPs in question concern mandate and supervisory powers (1 and 2) and group-wide supervision (23). Overall, it was noted that general observance with, and awareness of, ICPs 1 and 2 was high amongst participating authorities. With regard to ICP 23, it was recognised that many insurance authorities are at varying levels of observance because observance is likely predicated upon changes to legal frameworks and supervisory powers that require time to implement. However, as the majority of participating authorities found the definition of “insurance groups” challenging. It was agreed that clarification of ICP 23 was essential and the standard is to be reviewed and revisions proposed.
