Anthony is an Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department. He was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2014.

Anthony’s areas of practice are Civil and Commercial Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Labour Law, Property Law, Defamation Law, Insurance Law, Personal Injuries Law, Constitutional Law and Judicial Review, Succession Disputes, Medical Negligence, Company Law, and Receivership and Insolvency.

He advises numerous clients on various legal issues, offering creative and pragmatic solutions geared towards managing disputes and aligning with client's strategic and commercial objectives.

Relevant experience

  • Advising corporate and private clients on all aspects of employment law and representing clients in amicable negotiations resulting in settlements as well as successfully prosecuting and defending various suits before the Employment and Labour Relations Court.  
  •  Representing clients before the High Court of Kenya in a wide variety of claims including those based on Civil and Commercial disputes, Property Law, Defamation Law, Insurance Law, Personal Injuries Law, Constitutional Law and Judicial Review, Medical Negligence, Succession Disputes, Company Law, and Receivership and Insolvency.
  • Successfully obtaining orders seeking to stop a multiplicity of suits by a vexatious litigant against a company that holds extensive oil exploration acreage in the East African Rift Basin system.
  • Successfully obtaining orders dismissing a claim challenging the land rights of Kinangop Wind Park Limited, which was on course to establishing the largest wind park investment in East Africa.
  • Currently engaged in the Court of Appeal in seeking to overturn a substantial claim against a leading contractor on account of work injury compensation.
  • Currently engaged in the Employment & Labour Relations Court in seeking to challenge the statutory immunity from prosecution available to a major international organization in the context of unlawful termination of employment.
  • Currently engaged at the High Court in an Appeal by members of the mining industry against a complaint made over their alleged failure to comply with licensing provisions of the Mining Act.
  • Currently engaged at the High Court in defending a high-profile court action brought against a leading member of the medical profession for alleged negligence in treatment and management of patients.
