CMS advises Allianz Real Estate on sale of Skyper office property in Frankfurt

Stuttgart – Allianz Real Estate has sold the Skyper office block at Taunusanlage 1 in Frankfurt to a group of HDI Deutschland companies. Allianz Real Estate acted on behalf of several companies in the Allianz Group.

An international CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Volker Zerr advised Allianz Real Estate on all real estate, corporate, tax and competition law aspects of the transaction. CMS regularly advises Allianz Real Estate on acquisitions and disposals. Recent examples include a 50:50 joint venture with Europe-wide property group VGP to develop VGP Park Munich and the acquisition of the Neumarkter Straße 28 building in Munich from the Bertelsmann Group.

Mainly completed in 2006, Skyper is a high-rise building designed for multi-tenant use. It offers around 54,000 square metres of flexible rental space across 35 floors. Apart from a few units, the property is fully let. In addition to the tower, the complex also includes a heritage-protected neo-classical villa and the Carré block. The latter provides 1,241 square metres of office space on six floors, 1,088 square metres for retail and catering outlets, and 3,643 square metres of residential space divided into 52 apartments.
