Students & Events

We like to meet enthusiastic students.

We like to meet enthusiastic students. Are you finishing your university bachelor’s degree in law? Or have you already started your master’s? Would you like to know whether a large international office is the right fit for you? Then this is a great time to do an internship! Come and meet us at one of the recruitment events.

A student internship at CMS gives you a good understanding of our daily practice, our people and our office. In just a short period of time you will get to know the day-to-day operation of our lawyers. You become part of a section and we involve you in as many things as possible. An internship usually lasts eight weeks, during which you work full-time, though a different working schedule is also negotiable. For an eight-week internship you receive a reimbursement of 1500 euro. CMS also covers accommodation costs for students who travel from afar.

Legal Profession Internship

You are part of a practice group with trainee lawyers, employees and shareholders. We involve you in as many things as possible and you participate in all legal issues. In addition, you will also be busy researching case law and reviewing files. Of course you will also go to court hearings, courses and get-togethers to gain a real picture of working at a large international office.

Notarial Profession Internship

A notarial student internship at CMS gives you a comprehensive picture of our Corporate/M&A and Real Estate & Construction practice. It is customary for you to take part in both notarial practice areas during your internship. Within the notary profession, you also work on all legal issues and are involved in daily practice as much as possible.

Tax Practice Internships

During a tax student internship at CMS, you will work for a number of weeks on the on-going processes within the Tax group. Our tax specialists have a strong focus on international tax law, corporate tax, payroll tax and indirect taxes. In our highly specialised team you get the opportunity to cooperate on mostly cross-border files.

Are you studying Dutch, Notarial or Tax law and would you like to get acquainted with CMS during an eight-week student internship? Mail us a short motivation letter with the desired period and the sections/legal areas of your preference, together with your CV and grades. You can send your application to our Recruitment department via recruitment@cms-dsb.com.
