13 December 2009, 15:00 -
Dujat and CMS Derks Star Busmann host the seminar “M&A in Europe” on 25 November 2009.
This seminar focuses on Japanese companies involved in M&A processes in Europe, be it as buyer, seller or target company. It addresses commercial, legal and cultural aspects of the M&A process. Issues as timing, approval process, managing expectation and synergy will all be dealt with. The whole M&A process will be discussed in a chronological way: Pre-Merger, the actual Merger process and Post-Merger.
We have three key note speakers:
- Dimitri van Schaik (CDI)
Dimitri obtained his doctor’s degree from the Erasmus University Rotterdam on M&A in Japan, an analysis of merger waves and hostile takeovers. Dimitri specialises in international company search for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.
- Mark Ziekman (CMS)
Mark is a lawyer and a partner of the Corporate Finance practice group of CMS Derks Star Busmann. He is active in the field of company law and specialises in cross-border mergers and takeovers, corporate finance and commercial contracts. He has assisted several Japanese companies in M&A processes and finding their way in Europe.
- Ton Runneboom
Ton has held several positions with Teijin both in Europe and in Japan. His last position with Teijin was Teijin Group Corporate Officer in Japan. He successfully divested, acquired and integrated companies within the Teijin Group.
