Market Entry and M&A in Europe

DUJAT and CMS Derks Star Busmann host the seminar “Market Entry and M&A in Europe” on 23 November 2011. This seminar focuses on market entry strategies for Europe and more specifically M&A, both from a legal and a business perspective. It also addresses cultural aspects of such processes.

We have two key note speakers.

• Mark Ziekman (CMS) is a lawyer and a partner of the corporate practice group of CMS Derks Star Busmann. He is active in the field of company law and specialises in cross-border mergers and takeovers, corporate finance and commercial contracts. He has assisted several Japanese companies in M&A processes and finding their way in Europe.
• Geert Jan Mantel (Yanmar) is director/member of the board of Yanmar Co. Ltd., Osaka, Japan and president of Yanmar Europe B.V. Furthermore, he is member of several
  supervisory boards and foundations including DUJAT.

In addition, Mrs. Masako Kato will join the panel discussion to address cultural aspects.

• Masako Kato is an independent culture management consultant on both national and corporate culture levels at her own company Many Truths. She often assists Japanese and European companies in post-M&A phase in enhancing their mutual understanding and collaboration.
