in Netherlands

In view of the increasing number of Russian companies that choose the Netherlands as their place of business, either in connection with direct investments, tax structuring or otherwise, CMS has a Russian Desk. Apart from assisting Russian clients with their investments in or trading with the Netherlands, the Russian Desk offers support to Dutch clients who intend to invest in or trade with Russia.

The Russian Desk provides clients with services on a wide range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, IPO's, public bids and tax structuring and planning. We provide high quality and solution-oriented advice combined with an in-depth understanding of cultural and business differences between the Netherlands and Russia. Our proficiency in Russian allows us to combine deal and corporate expertise with an efficient, swift and tailormade approach catering to the specific needs of the client.

The Russian Desk is headed by Roman Tarlavski, a corporate finance partner who has fifteen years of experience in the area of corporate law. Roman specializes in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, structured joint ventures and private equity. Roman is a Russian native speaker and is also fluent in Dutch and English.

Through our office in Russia we can assist our clients in the event that expertise on Russian law is required.
