CMS advised Koninklijke Ahrend on acquisition of social workplace

CMS has advised office furniture manufacturer Koninklijke Ahrend on the acquisition of the activities of the social workplace Presikhaaf Schoolmeubelen. The partnership is in line with the new participation Act, which aims to improve the employment rate of people with a distance to the labor market.

Presikhaaf Bedrijven in Arnhem is part of eleven municipalities in the region of Midden-Gelderland and aims to boost employment of people with a distance to the regular labor market. For 50 years Presikhaaf produces furniture for primary and secondary schools.

Ahrend has a turnover of € 200 million and 1,100 employees and is a major European player in the sector of office furniture designers.

The team was led by Mark Ziekman and comprised Anastasia Chistyakova, Rogier de Vrey, Niels Koene, Arnout Scholten, Paulus van den Bos, Katja van Kranenburg-Hanspians, Clair Wermers and Jacqueline Feld.
