10/01/2011

On 23 December 2010, Solera Nederland, a division of the American NYSE-listed company Solera Holdings Inc., acquired a minority shareholding in Digidentity B.V.

Digidentity is a trend-setting and innovative player on the Dutch market for the development of the next generation of products to authenticate and authorise digital identities. This company developed DigiD 4.0 for the Dutch government; this product is the successor of the program DigiD designed for members of the general public. In addition, Digidentity is a participant in the eHerkenning programme, which is playing a prominent role in digital communication between businesses and the government.

CMS advised Digidentity on these transactions, with CMS's team comprising Bart Bendel, Herman van Aerts, Casper Doorten and Bob van Zijl.
