CMS advises Grand City Hotels on its strategic partnership with Wyndham Hotel Group

CMS has advised Grand City Hotels on its strategic partnership with Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company.

As a result of the transaction, 43 hotels (about a third of the Grand City Hotel portfolio of 120 hotels) will be affiliated with Wyndham Hotel Group under the Wyndham Grand, Wyndham, Wyndham Garden, TRYP by Wyndham and Days Inn, brands totaling 5,400 rooms. Nearly all hotels are located in Germany. By 1 March 2013, the first 33 hotels will be rebranded. The remaining hotels will follow within two years.

With this deal, Wyndham Hotel Group is introducing the Wyndham brand in Germany and launches the Wyndham Garden tier in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA) and the TRYP by Wyndham brand in Belgium and the Netherlands

Grand City Hotels is one of the leading hotel management companies in Europe with over 120 hotels in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Hungary and Cyprus. Grand City Hotels has more than 13,000 hotel rooms at its disposal and welcomes more than three million guests annually.
