CMS assists TIS Container Terminal on acquisition by DP World

CMS has assisted TIS Container Terminal of Ukraine on the acquisition by DP World of its 51% stake in TIS Container Terminal in the Ukrainian port of Yuzhny. The joint venture transaction marks the entry by DP World, one of the worlds’ largest port operators, into Ukraine directly for the first time.

As part of the transaction, DP World agreed to acquire control in TIS Container Terminal Ukraine, the deepest and most technologically advanced container terminal in Ukraine’s Black Sea port of Yuzhny. The terminal has 470 metres of quay and a depth alongside of 16 metres, plus considerable spare capacity – according to eeSea data, it boasts an annual capacity of 500,000 teu but handled around 145,000 teu last year.
