Mosa Meat, based in Maastricht, has successfully developed a method to produce lab-generated meat, using bovine cell tissue. The investment, in an amount of EUR 7.5 million, will be used to upscale productions and prepare the market entry. Mosa Meat is led by Maastricht University professor Mark Post and food specialist Peter Verstrate.

Bell Food Group AG is based in Basle, Switzerland and quoted on the Swiss stock exchange. It is a leading meat processor and manufacturers of convenience products.
