Junior partner Katja van Kranenburg-Hanspians will join CMS Derks Star Busmann’s Employment practice group on 1 February 2010. She will work out of CMS’s Amsterdam office. Her broad expertise allows CMS Derks Star Busmann to offer even better advice in the area of labour law, which also touches on company law, banking & finance and the tax practice.
Van Kranenburg-Hanspians (1971) was previously employed by Loyens Loeff, working in the Litigation and Corporate Law practice group from 1998-2000. She focussed on labour law from 2000-2009, and specialises in such areas as outsourcing and M&A, as well as labour law in a general sense.
Van Kranenburg-Hanspians has been the keynote speaker at many seminars and, together with the Netherlands Knowledge Centre for Supervisory Directors [Nederlands Kenniscentrum voor Commissarissen], she organised the National Day for Supervisory Directors and Authorities [Nationale Dag voor Commissarissen en Toezichthouders] in 2008 and 2009.
Van Kranenburg-Hanspians is also routinely published in a number of periodicals, such as the Financieele Dagblad [daily financial newspaper] and the Tijdschrift voor Arbeidsrecht [a labour law journal]. She is co-author of the book Commissariaat in Vogelvlucht [a survey on supervisory directorship] and regularly offers in-house workshops.
