Highlights of our experience in Infrastructure & Projects in Oman

  • A Canadian mining company on its proposed participation in an exploration, excavation and production license in Northern Oman, including a detailed legal review of licensing arrangements, existing operator exclusivity limitations and advice in relation to long-term supply contracts with United Arab Emirates.
  • An Omani government entity on Usufruct rights under Omani law and the application of the same in respect of the large-scale construction development.
  • A Middle Eastern government entity on the procurement, tendering and contract negotiation (including design consultancy agreements, construction agreements, surveyors agreements and associated documentation) for repairs and on-going maintenance requirements for one of the largest leisure attractions in the region.
  • A government company mandated to manage certain key real estate assets for and on behalf of the government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi on its proposed design, construction, operation and management agreements for a luxury, highend recreational leisure venue to be located on Yas Island in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
  • A government entity on the design and fit-out of its head office buildings located in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including all necessary proactive advice, support in relation to contractual protection and the reduction of legal risk.
  • A government entity and John Buck International (a real estate services company working in partnership with Mubadala Development Company) on the policies, procedures and manuals to be used for the on-going servicing and support of the re-development of the Corniche Project in Abu Dhabi, including all asset and facilities management proposals, terms and conditions in both English and Arabic.
  • Produced an in-depth detailed research and report on the current laws governing the construction industry in the region and consideration of how each of these align with international best practice (including the International Federation of Consulting Engineers Conditions of Contract for Construction).
  • A government entity on the re-negotiation of a multi-million dollar facilities and asset management agreement for the on-going management and operation of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
