Gonzalo is prized for providing prompt and practical legal solutions with business perspective. During his 7-year experience in two of the firm’s most dynamic areas −Mining and Real Estate & Construction−, Gonzalo has counselled in some of the most impactful projects in Peru (e.g. the greatest M&A transaction and the largest windfarm), working alongside public officials, corporate managements, foreign firms and multidisciplinary teams. At present, Gonzalo is doing a secondment at the Infrastructure, Construction and Energy (ICE) Disputes team in our London premises.

  • 2018-19: Graña y Montero Petrolera S.A., legal report which led to establish a favourable standard for the Oil & Gas sector regarding the possibility of applying for different easements before different governmental bodies.
  • 2018: Petróleos del Perú S.A., technical and legal study of properties in more than 44 kilometres of oil pipelines in Northern Peru.
  • 2017 - 2018: Tahoe Resources Perú S.A.C., technical and legal study of properties in more than 4,000 hectares for the expansion of its gold mine “La Arena”.
  • 2017: Consorcio A&E Perú, Contract Manager on site of the subcontractor company in charge of the engineering, construction and commissioning (EPC) of the PV solar plant “Intipampa”.
  • 2016 - present: Urbanova Inmobiliaria S.A.C., design and execution of strategies for the legal clearance of real estate assets across Lima.
  • 2016-18: Enel Green Power Peru S.A., acquisition of surface rights for the construction and operation of the largest wind farm in Peru “Wayra I”.
  • 2016: Compañía Minera Antapaccay (Glencore Plc), assessment of construction and operation permits of key project facilities for the sale of the future production of the copper mine “Antapaccay” to Franco-Nevada Corporation, USD 500 MM.
  • 2015: Franco-Nevada Corporation, assessment of construction and operation permits of key project facilities for the acquisition of the future production of the copper mine “Antamina”, USD 610 MM.
  • 2013-14: Glencore Xstrata Plc, due diligence for the sale of the total participation of Glencore Xstrata Plc in the world class copper project “Las Bambas”, USD 7,000 MM (M&A Deal of the Year / Peru 2014 - The American Lawyer).
  • 2011-12: Mitsubishi Corporation, due diligence for the acquisition of 18,106% of participation of the International Finance Corporation in Anglo American Quellaveco S.A., holder of the copper project “Quellaveco”, USD 800 MM.
