Juan Pulgar-Vidal is a partner in the Real Estate area and has solid experience in negotiation, acquisition, and land reorganization processes for investment projects, as well as in the prevention and management of conflicts. Likewise, he has experience in the definition of administrative and procedural strategies for the legal sanitation of predial properties and the accreditation of them in government entities. 

He has global experience in Peru, Central America and Africa in leading multidisciplinary teams for the execution of development programs and investment projects. 

Previously, he has served as Manager of Community Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility, as well as Chief Legal Officer in mining companies; he has also been a principal advisor to the Land Titling Project (PETT) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation. 

He is a lawyer from the PUCP and has a master's degree in contract law from the Università degli Studi di Roma II "Tor Vergata“, he is also a university professor and lecturer on property rights. 

Since 2000 he has been a professor and lecturer at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú - PUCP, the Universidad San Antonio de Abad del Cuzco, the National Academy of Magistracy, the University of Applied Sciences - UPC, the University of Addis Ababa of Ethiopia, the Universidad Privada del Norte - UPN, the Universidad Privada Antonio Guillermo Urrelo - UPAGU and the Universidad ESAN.

Relevant experience

  • TRANSPORTADORA DE GAS DEL PERÚ (TGP) | In the execution of transactions and contracts that allow the normal operation of the transport systems, as well as participation in processes of attention to complaints and direct negotiation and in dialogue tables with the participation of the Office of Social Management of the Ministry of Energy and Mines. TGP has built and has been operating gas transportation systems through pipelines that run 729 kilometers, whose total committed investment was USD $ 1,456 MM.
  • MINERA LAS BAMBAS | In the mechanisms of acquisition and negotiation of land necessary for operations. Likewise, conducting a field work team and direct negotiations with landowners. In 2010, the contract for the transfer of ownership of the Las Bambas mining concessions was signed with the State with an investment of USD 4.2 billion.
  • SHAHUINDO (PAN AMERICAN SILVER) | In conducting the property reorganization process of previously acquired properties, through administrative procedures and judicial processes. Likewise, accompaniment in complex negotiation processes. Shahuindo is an open pit gold mine whose initial investment was considered at USD $ 490 MM.
  • ENEL GENERACIÓN PERÚ | In the conduction of legal technical diagnosis processes and topographic survey of essential properties for the electricity generation operations of the Huinco, Chimay, Yanango and Huampaní hydroelectric plants.
