Raul Ravina is Partner of CMS Grau Real Estate Practice Area Group. He has wide and solid experience in the acquisition of lands and land titling for the development of private and public inversion projects, with emphasis on complex negotiations with social organizations. Additionally, he has counselled the Peruvian Government on legal reforms destined to improve the regulatory frame for the development of inversion projects and rural land titling.

Also, Raul Ravina has counselled various institutions in transactions destined to acquire lands as well as the land titling regarding such lands. As main type of clients he assesses Retail Companies, Mining Companies Energy Companies, Laboratories, Governmental Entities, amongst others.

He has worked as a lawyer since 1997 and has gained a lot of experience on the acquisition and titling of lands in sectors like mining, energy, agriculture, amongst others. Also, Raul Ravina has great experience elaborating strategies and directing multidisciplinary teams in charge of the negotiation, acquisition and titling of the lands destined to different projects.

Raul is currently a professor of the course of Real Estate Rights and of the Especialisation Program in right of the construction at the Universidad del Pacífico, professor of the course Property 1 in the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and has been a professor of real estate rights, property and Seminar of Civil Law and Civil Procedural Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru, among others.

Relevant experience

  • Rutas de Lima S.A.C.: counselling on the release of premises through the procedure of expropriation, regulated by Legislative Decree N ° 1192, for the construction of Vías Nuevas de Lima project.
  • Minera Las Bambas S.A.: acquisition of lands to comply with the swap of lands held with Comunidad Campesina de Fuerabamba and the development of Nueva Fuerabamba Urbanization.
  •  Glencore – Proyecto Antapacay: Amongst others: (i) legal and physical curing of the areas already acquired by the client since 2001 and to date, aproximately 370 property transfers; (ii) acquisition of premises for start-up operations of Tajo Norte. This involves the technical and legal diagnosis of sixty (60) plots (this sixty sum up to 140.58 acres).
  • Hersil S.A.: curing of permits and construction authorizations of the building constructed on one of the client´s properties before the administrative authorities, where laboratories, offices, warehouses and a plant that produces pharmaceutical products operate.
  • Contourglobal Perú S.A.C.: diagnostic of areas of interest in which our client intends to develop investment projects, eolic energy hydroelectric and biomass projects.
  • Sodimac Peru S.A.: processes of urban allotments and obtaintion of administrative permits for the operation of its premises. Currently, Raul provide advice in the sanitation of their stores nationwide.
  • Anglo American Quellaveco S.A.: assessment and curing of certain lands required for the construction of a system for water transport.
  • Asociación Cultural Peruano Británica: counselling in the curing of a premise located in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho and the obtaintion of the urban enabling and the reception of the works regarding the urban enabling of another premise located in Lima. Currently, Raul provides advise in the obtaintion of the permits or authorizations required to construct the new teaching Center located y Camacho – Lima.
  • Enel Green Power Peru S.A.: diagnosis, sanitation and acquisition of surface rights for the development of projects nationwide, identification and consolidation of the applicable sectoral and municipal permits. Additionally, elaboration of fifteen studies of technical and legal diagnosis of more than a hundred and eighty thousand hectares of field to determine the ownership of the soil and its limitations as well as the viability of the execution and development of Enel´s projects in those lands.
  • Lumina Copper S.A.C.: Raul Ravina has counselled Lumina Copper in the sanitation of Galeno Mining Project, as well as procedures before COFOPRI, the Public Registry, Notaries, SBN amongst others in order to obtain the sanitation of more than 240 hectares.
