The Role of Energy Clusters and Stores in the Power System

Organised by CMS in cooperation with the Association of the Polish Chamber of Energy Storage, “The role of energy clusters and stores in the power system” will be held on 27 October 2016, 9:30-11:00 at CMS’s offices on the 28th Floor of the Warsaw Financial Center, ul. Emilii Plater 53, Warsaw.

This meeting will be a “round table” opportunity to exchange views on the following topics:

  • the practice of clusters functioning in the Polish power system,
  • solutions that ensure the proper functioning of energy clusters and related energy stores,
  • potential applications of energy storage and their impact on the safety of the electricity system,
  • potential “points of contention”,
  • available technologies in the field of energy storage,
  • support mechanisms for local governments.

 

The discussion will be led by:

  • Prof Dr Eng Jan Popczyk from the Silesian University of Technology, a recognised authority in the field of electrical power engineering, author of numerous publications including on energy clusters;
  • Bartłomiej Zysiński, Vice President of the Association of the Polish Chamber of Energy Storage (PIME);
  • Piotr Ciołkowski, partner and head of the regulatory practice in the Department of Energy and Projects at CMS.

 

The aim of the seminar is to foster dialogue that will contribute to cooperation and the dynamic development of new energy clusters and stores.
