CMS advises Xior on investment in student housing in Warsaw

International law firm CMS has advised Xior Student Housing, a Belgian owner and operator of student housing in Europe, on the project involving the development of a student housing in Warsaw. Xior formed a joint venture with Solida Capital to deliver its first flagship project in the capital of Poland, located in the Old Town area, in the vicinity of the Warsaw Campus. 

Xior Student Housing NV is a Belgian real estate company that specialises in the student housing sector in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal. The company recently announced that it signed an agreement regarding the acquisition of Basecamp, which will allow it to enter new markets in Germany, Denmark and Sweden, and accelerate its growth in Poland. 

The project was led by Michał Mieciński, Partner in the Real Estate & Construction Team, supported by Wojciech Konwisarz (Senior Associate), and Żaneta Bałdowska (Senior Associate).
