International law firm CMS is pleased to announce two leadership changes in Poland and Sofia. On 1 May, Andrzej Posniak and Kostadin Sirleshtov will become the Managing Partners of CMS Poland and CMS Sofia respectively.

Dóra Petrányi, CEE Managing Director comments: “It is a great pleasure to announce our new Managing Partners in Poland and Sofia. Andrzej and Kostadin are both distinguished lawyers that will bring fantastic insight and experience to these key roles. I am confident they will continue to drive the amazing momentum we have experienced in recent years and build on our success across the region.”

He also manages the Central-Eastern European tax practice and is a member of the CMS global tax practice’s management team. Andrzej takes over the reins from Małgorzata Surdek, who will continue to lead the Litigation team in Poland, as well as focussing on her recent appointment to the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris.

“Over the past three years, we have successfully recruited experts with recognised market achievements to seven of our key practices, including the banking and finance practice, the infrastructure practice and the transaction and tax advisory team. As always, we are committed to working in a competitive and changing environment to provide our clients with services even better suited to their needs and to give our lawyers the best opportunities to develop their careers,” says Andrzej Pośniak, who takes up the position of managing partner of CMS in Poland on 1 May 2019.

Led by likeminded and determined partners, CMS Sofia will continue to expand its full service offering and to provide platform for development of our lawyers and staff."
