The Automotive Industry Report 2019/20

22 August 2019

The Automotive sector has for many years been a driving force of European economic growth. The industry provides direct and indirect jobs to 13.8 million Europeans and generated a surplus of €84.4 billion for the European Union in 2018. At the same time automotive companies remain the cornerstone of European innovativeness, being Europe’s number one investor in innovations, responsible for 28% of total EU spending on R&D.
