Arbitration and ADR

Portugal

Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) constitute more and more an option due to the celerity and balance of cost/efficiency in its use. The new voluntary arbitration act achieved to give greater consistency to this movement towards the lessening of the jurisdiction of courts.

We have lawyers with great experience in the handling and definition of national and cross-border arbitrations, either ad hoc or by institutions such as ICC, LCIA, the Commercial Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry/Commercial Association of Lisbon. Our partners are regularly appointed as arbitrators in home and cross-border arbitrations.
