CMS Portugal and LBR Angola organise webinar on Privatizations in Angola

CMS Portugal and LBR Angola are organising a webinar on "Privatizations in Angola", which will take place on May 20, at 09:00 am (Lisbon time).

This initiative brings together national and international experts and aims to analyse and debate the major opportunities, challenges and possible post-pandemic scenarios related to Angola's new Privatization Program.

The first panel dedicated to PROPRIV - Angola Privatization Program, will highlight aspects related to the current situation and perspectives for a foreign investor with the intervention of José Tavares, head of the Privatization Department of IGAPE.

The following panel will feature Nivaldo Matias, head of BODIVA's Market Development Department, who will address issues related to Privatizations through the Stock Exchange.

The event also includes a roudtable, moderated by renowned lawyer Pieter van Welzen, Senior Consultant at CMS South Africa, where the theme "Angolan privatizations: challenges and opportunities of the current status" will be discussed. Luís Borba Rodrigues, managing partner at LBR-Sociedade de Advogados, Nuno Alves Mansilha and Joana Brito Paulo, both managing associates of Lusophone Africa at CMS Portugal, will clarify the legal aspects of the topic under discussion.

The conference aims to debate the future and current issues in the Angolan market, bringing together some of the leading national and international experts in these matters in order to identify opportunities and strategies to better address the challenges that may arise.
