Meet the Law

At the beginning of this week took place the bidding in the context of the electronic auction regarding the competitive procedure for the allocation of reserve injection capacity on connection points to RESP for electricity from the conversion of solar energy (solar auction), divided in 12 lots located in the Alentejo and Algarve region.

 The publication of the bidding results shall take place within the next few days, after which the bidders who submitted the best bid will be notified of the attribution of the referred rights and also to indicate (if applicable) the identification of the company and provide the definitive deposit (in the amount of EUR 60,000/MVA).

 Notwithstanding the publication of the bidding results, from the information provided by Portuguese media shall be enhanced the following:

• All 12 lots were assigned through 13 adjudications.
• Only 5 of the assigned lots does not include the installation of an electric producer plant with an integrated storage system;
•  Near 50% of the lots were assigned to the South Korean company Hanwha Q-Cells, which is equivalent to 300MVA of capacity reserve. According to the information provided, it was also assigned two lots to Tag Energy and Audax. Companies such as Endesa, Enerland and Iberdrola were given one lot each.
• A new world record was reached regarding the tariff with a price of EUR 11.14/MWh, which may reflect in the next decade in electricity prices.
