Matthew heads CMS’ Funds and Indirect Real Assets team in CMS Asia, having been based in Singapore since 2010.

Matthew advises on fund formation, fund investments and fund closings and on related regulatory and compliance issues, including AIFMD and its impact on non-EU fund managers.

He has wide-ranging experience of multiple fund structures and sectors, including advising on funds established in Singapore, Cayman Islands, Mauritius, Bermuda, the Channel Islands, Luxembourg, the United States and the UK, and on funds investing in real estate, infrastructure, PE, VC, debt, bonds and credit opportunities across developed and developing markets. Matthew also has experience of establishing Shariah-compliant funds.

Matthew’s clients include global institutional fund managers and LPs, as well as smaller fund managers, multi-manager investors and family offices.
