What will the law firm of the future look like?

It will be fully aligned and integrated with the objectives and goals of the client, meaning that lawyers will actually spend most of their time teaming up with clients at every level. It will be a perfect crossover between industry or sector orientation and seamless knowledge of a practice area.

What was the most interesting cross-border, cross-discipline project that you were involved in?

The resolution of the biggest Portuguese private bank, Banco Espírito Santo, in 2014. The matter deals with EU law, banking law, insolvency law, prospectus liability and investment treaty advice, and spreads across dozens of cases. We are representing clients in Portugal, the UK, Luxembourg, Switzerland and even in the US, teaming with US law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.

In which CMS office (besides your own) would you like to work and why?

London or Madrid as those are the places where I have the biggest number of friends and I really love both cities.
