CMS strengthens the telecommunications practice in CEE

Ireneusz Piecuch has joined CMS as a partner who will manage the regional telecommunications practice in Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and the Ukraine). Ireneusz Piecuch co-operated with CMS between 2010 and 2013 and managed legal advisory projects within firm’s telecommunications practice.

Ireneusz Piecuch combines business and regulatory experience with a vast knowledge of the TMT sector. He has been working in the telecommunications, media and IT industry for over 25 years. He has been a member of management and supervisory boards at international corporations and companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Most recently he was a management board member at Poczta Polska (2013-2015). In the years 2006-2009 he worked for Orange (formerly Telekomunikacja Polska), among other things, as management board member responsible for the company’s strategy and business development. He spent 11 years working for IBM as a legal consultant and head of the legal department for Central and Eastern Europe and later became the vice president of the company in Poland. His professional experience also includes sitting on the supervisory board of KGHM Polska Miedź SA and PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA.

Ireneusz Piecuch graduated from the Faculty of Law at Warsaw University. He is a qualified legal advisor and judge.
