Europe’s regulators are now heavily focused on how best to manage online platforms.
However, at the moment there is still no definition as to what actually constitutes a platform, which can cover a host of activities from social media to marketplaces and online payments. There are open questions as whether there is any particular activity within this sector that needs to be regulated.
