The Krone Group has announced its investment in the Schwarzmüller Group and the resulting industrial partnership in the European commercial vehicle industry. An international CMS expert team advised the Krone Group in the process.
Led by partner Alexander Rakosi in Austria and partner Ernst-Markus Schuberth in Germany, who formed the core transaction team together with senior associates Marie-Christine Lidl in Vienna and Ole Weyand in Germany, the CMS team provided extensive legal advice to the Krone Group on its investment in the Austrian Schwarzmüller Group, a major manufacturer of specialised vehicles in the commercial vehicle sector. The mandate of the CMS team included extensive due diligence, involving numerous legal experts in Austria, Germany, Serbia, Ukraine, Croatia, Bosnia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, as well as advice on transaction documents/negotiations and competition law aspects.

With their strategic partnership, the two groups are strengthening the joint expansion of production networks and the establishment of comprehensive service environments based on complementary product ranges. After approval of the transaction by the antitrust authorities, which is expected in the near future, Krone and Schwarzmüller will move forward as partners with a consolidated presence across Europe.
