Luyolo is an associate in the Banking and Finance team of CMS South Africa.

Luyolo has experience in advising both local and international clients on an array of financing transactions, ranging from complex multi-jurisdictional financing transactions to local law governed financing products. 

His practice focuses on leveraged acquisition financing, structured financial transactions, restructuring, trade finance, securitisation as well as a broad range of debt financing. 

Luyolo served articles at Baker McKenzie Inc. where he gained experience in the Dispute Resolution team on Insolvency & Business Rescue, Compliance & Investigations, Construction Litigation, Employment Law as well as General Commercial Litigation. He also gained experience in the Antitrust and Competition team on Antitrust & Competition Litigation in respect of collusion matters and related penalty proceedings as well as Mergers & Acquisitions.

  • A development finance institution under the World Bank - in a corporate restructuring in relation to a USD 25 million facilities provided to a multinational steel company in favour of the development finance institution.
  • A multinational steel company - in a revolving structured commodity trade finance facility of ZAR 4.5 billion made available by a syndicate of local and international banks.
  • A global bank - in a financial restructuring in relation to a USD 50 million facilities in favour of a multinational oil and gas mining company.
  • A multinational construction and engineering company - in a financial restructuring in relation to various facilities in an aggregate amount of ZAR 1.2 billion credit facilities.
