Stefan Brunnschweiler named head of Corporate/M&A Practice Area Group at CMS

CMS has appointed Stefan Brunnschweiler, based in Zuerich, Switzerland, as head of its Corporate/M&A Practice Group, effective 1 January 2015. He will lead an international team of more than 200 partners and 700 corporate lawyers. The group advises clients on all aspects of corporate law and transactions in Europe and beyond.

Stefan Brunnschweiler takes over this role from Thomas Meyding, who has led the Corporate/M&A Practice Group since 2006 and under whose leadership the group has grown to become one of the top European Corporate/M&A teams. He was instrumental in shaping the continuing professionalization of the group and this is reflected in the top league table rankings that CMS regularly achieves. The CMS European M&A Study, the leading market survey on M&A transactions, demonstrates the market penetration of CMS, which has expanded even further over the past few years.

In 2015, Stefan Brunnschweiler will concentrate on maintaining CMS's position as one of the top Corporate/M&A advisors by focusing on client relationships across Europe and beyond.
