It is with great pleasure that I announce that Tom De Cordier has joined CMS as a partner in the Brussels office.

Tom has 15 years of experience in advising domestic and multinational clients on all aspects of technology law, with a particular focus on privacy & data protection, telecommunications, outsourcing, cloud computing, big data, life sciences and technology licensing. His practice covers a wide range of advisory, transactional and litigation matters and projects.

Tom was ranked tier 1 in Legal 500’s latest shortlist of leading practitioners in EU data protection. Chambers Europe ranks Tom as “Up and coming” in the category Technology, Media & Telecommunications in Belgium. Recently Corporate International Magazine recommended Tom as “rising star of the year in Belgium” for telecommunications law.

Tom De Cordier played a key role at his previous firm (Allen & Overy) in developing the international data protection and information security practice.
