April 2010 newsletter

15/04/2010

The goal of our newsletter is to keep you abreast of recent legal and tax developments in the various areas where our firm has recognised expertise.

Editorial

As the economy slowly recovers, it becomes important to prepare for growth. We are convinced that the focus should be on proximity and excellence. Our lawyers will be working closely with you to achieve that - informing you of opportunities and issues affecting your business, but also listening to your needs and delivering on them.

This is why we will be holding a series of events on the theme of “Preparing Today for Tomorrow’s Growth.” The first of these events will be held in Diegem on 6 May. Hans Bourlon, manager of the year (2008), co-owner and CEO, will share his experience of creating a successful business. This will be followed by breakout sessions on current topics such as optimising real estate assets, the opportunities and challenges of the new Commercial Practices Act, keeping older employees engaged and acquisition financing in difficult times.

This month the newsletter looks at a revolution in damage indemnification resulting from health-care, and touches upon developments in banking and finance, corporate, and commercial law as well as in public procurement.
