CMS International HR Gathering - Amsterdam

We are delighted to invite you to our International CMS HR Gathering in Amsterdam on 14 June 2018! Taking place during the CMS Partners Meeting, this event creates an opportunity for us to network and to discuss a hot topic for employers; in this case the employees’ right to disconnect. We will also leave time for you to meet one-to-one CMS employment partners from jurisdictions of your choice and get their advice on the matters that your firm is dealing with.

Technological developments have presented legislators and employers with a big dilemma about the permanent availability of employees. The matter is not an easy one to regulate without limiting the freedom of the employee to decide when they will be available. The extent to which companies in different jurisdictions go to protect their employees, as well as their brand, varies. In this discussion we will exchange views and share our insights on the practices that work and risk areas to avoid. We also consider how employers harness the benefits of the evolving modern workforce with the growth in the gig economy and increased flexibility in working practices.

We value hearing about your experiences, and learning about the HR challenges you are facing. Following the panel we will offer participants the chance to schedule one-to-one meetings with their choice of employment practitioners from various European countries. If you are an HR professional, an in-house counsel, have international HR responsibility, or need to deal with employment matters in your company, then we would encourage you to join us.
