ECJ has ordered Romania and Ireland are ordered to pay the EC €3,000,000 and €2,000,000 respectively following their failure to transpose in full, within the period prescribed, AMLD IV.

EIOPA and the Financial Supervisory Authority of Romania (ASF) have announced their intention to launch an independent assessment of the Romanian insurance sector through a balance sheet review.
The EC has sent letters of formal notice to Cyprus, Hungary, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain for not having notified any implementation measures for AMLD V. If the EC does not receive a satisfactory response within two months, reasoned opinions may be sent to the Member States.

The EC has decided to refer Greece, Ireland and Romania to ECJ for failing to fully implement AMLD IV.
