EC: CRR – draft regulatory technical standards
The EC has published the text of its letter to EBA which states that it is unable to endorse draft regulatory technical standards concerning the timing for applications for prior permission to reduce own funds and eligible liabilities instrument s under Articles 77, 78 and 78a under CRR. The EC considers that it is not proportionate to revise the existing standards at this stage only for this issue.

ESMA: EMIR Article 7d Reporting
ESMA is consulting on a proposed annual reporting framework under EMIR for clearing activity at recognised third-country CCPs, with the intention of improving supervisory visibility of EU firms' exposures to such CCPs. Responses are required by 12 October 2026.
EC: EMIR Delegated Regulation
The following has been published in the Official Journal: Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1000 of 5 May 2026 supplementing EMIR by specifying the method for the determination of fees charged by EBA for the validation of the pro forma models referred to in Article 11(3), fourth subparagraph, of that Regulation, and specifying the modalities of the payment of those fees.

ESMA: Commodity derivatives position reporting framework
ESMA has announced that the new weekly commodity derivatives position reporting framework will go live on 3 September 2026.
EC: CRD Implementing Regulation
The following has been published in the Official Journal: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1872 of 29 July 2026 amending the implementing technical standards laid down in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/2070 as regards benchmark portfolios, reporting templates and reporting instructions to be applied in the Union for the reporting referred to in Article 78(2) of CRD.

EBA: Reporting for the purposes of the validation and monitoring of ISDA standard initial margin model
EBA is consulting on a new reporting framework to support the validation and ongoing monitoring of initial margin models based on ISDA’s standard initial margin model. Responses are required by 2 November 2026.
