EBA: Work Programme
EBA has published its 2027 Work Programme. Highlights include: the implementation of the 2024 banking package, preparing for the new payment services framework, supporting crisis management and deposit insurance reforms, and continuing work under DORA, EMIR and MiCAR.
AMLA: AML/CFT requirements for the private sector
AMLA has finalised three sets of regulatory technical standards relating to: (i) business relationships and occasional transactions; (ii) customer due diligence, and (iii) group-wide arrangements (including arrangements for subsidiaries and branches in third countries). AMLA: Home-host supervisors of cross border groups
AMLA has published its final draft regulatory technical standards on the cooperation of home and host supervisors of cross-border groups. Once adopted by the EC, the standards will apply directly and become legally binding in all EU Member States.
ESMA: MiCAR review response
ESMA has published its response to the EC’s consultation. Amongst other matters, ESMA recommends stricter rules for the marketing of cryptoassets, particularly when they are promoted by influencers and third parties.
EIOPA: Union-wide Strategic Supervisory Priorities/Draft Single Programming Document
EIOPA has published details of activities it will undertake in the period 2027-2029, including its Annual Work Programme for 2027.

EIOPA’s report considers how climate change could affect life and health insurers and occupational pension providers and identifies extreme heat as the leading climate-related liability risk for the sectors.
EC: Fair access to financial services for cancer survivors
The EC has published a targeted consultation on fair access to financial services for cancer survivors which specifically aims to gather practical insights on how to implement an effective “right to be forgotten” approach in EU Member States. Responses are required by 27 October 2026.

EIOPA: Note on EIOPA’s views for better regulation and supervision
