EC: Position on simpler transparency rules for sustainable financial products
The Council has agreed its negotiating position on an updated sustainability transparency framework for financial products sold in the EU. This will introduce three new categories of financial products: sustainable, transition and ESG basics. The categories would replace existing concepts in the framework which have been shown to lead to greenwashing. The Council’s mandate allows financial market participants not to apply the categorisation provisions for alternative investment funds offered exclusively to professional investors.
ESMA: MiCAR transitional period
ESMA has issued a public statement which is intended to clarify expectations for how unauthorised cryptoasset service providers must wind down activities while also protecting investors after the end of the MiCAR transitional period.

ESMA: LDI funds - recent developments and methods for liquidity stress testing
ESMA’s report reviews the risks linked to LDI fund business models and their use of leverage, assesses their resilience to liquidity stress over time, and explains how liquidity risks can be explicitly incorporated into a fund stress-testing framework.
EBA: Amended disclosure requirements for ESG risks, equity exposures and aggregate exposure to shadow banking
EBA has published its final draft implementing technical standards amending the Pillar 3 disclosure framework on ESG risks, and introducing disclosure requirements on equity and shadow banking exposures.
EBA: MREL Dashboard
EBA has published its MREL Dashboard for Q4 2025.
FATF: 17-19 June 2026 plenary
FATF has published a synopsis of the 17019 June 2026 plenary held in Paris. Amongst other matters, it is noted that FATF will publish a seventh targeted update on the implementation of the FATF Standards on virtual assets and virtual asset service providers in July 2026, consult on new guidance that will support the implementation of the strengthened FATF Standard on cross-border payment transparency, and will publish a report in September 206 which will examine how underground banking, hawala, and other similar service providers can be exploited by criminals.

EBA has published its Spring 2026 risk assessment report, Q1 2026 Risk Dashboard and Spring 2026 risk assessment questionnaire results.
EBA: Annual assessment of banks’ internal approaches for capital requirements calculation
EBA has published its 2025 reports on the annual market and credit risk benchmarking exercises, which notes progress in the consistency and reliability of banks’ internal models across the EU and identifies areas for supervisory attention.
