Cristina Reichmann is a partner at CMS Romania and Head of the Capital Markets, FIS and Structured Finance practice in Romania.

She has over fifteen years of experience advising on banking, capital markets and corporate law, as well as on financial instruments and services.

Cristina’s expertise includes all types of FIS related projects on both the transactional and regulatory side, as well as capital market financing. In addition, Cristina has broad experience in regulatory aspects related to the operation of financial markets and operators, European directives and regulations on capital markets and financial instruments, derivatives, portfolio transfers, as well as securitised operations and structured financings.

She is recognised in the International Financial Law Review’s guide to law firms as a leading banking and capital markets lawyer in Romania and in Chambers Europe’s rankings for Capital Markets. Cristina is a member of the Arbitration Chamber of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Cristina is also a frequent speaker on various capital markets-related topics at both local and international conferences, as well as a regular lecturer at the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the Romanian Banking Institute on various financing and capital market-related topics, including corporate governance.

She has been elected by the Bucharest Stock Exchange to act as the capital markets expert in the group created by BSE for the development of the market – the ‘Great Barriers SHIFT’ campaign which joins top decision makers at the FSA, National Bank, government, banks and intermediaries.
