EU anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of certain acrylic esters originating in the China, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the United States
On 12 March 2026, the EU opened an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of certain acrylic esters originating in the People’s Republic of China, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of South Africa, and the United States of America, which could lead to substantial anti-dumping duties on future imports.
The product under investigation
The product subject to this investigation is certain acrylic esters (‘AE’) which are butyl acrylate (‘BA’) and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (‘2EHA’), falling respectively under Chemical Abstracts Service (‘CAS’) numbers 141-32-2 and 103-11-7, and currently under Customs Union and Statistics (‘CUS’) codes 0012413-0 and 0017228-1.
The product under investigation is currently classified under CN code ex 2916 12 00 (TARIC code 2916 12 00 15).
